Saturday we had a volunteer day to help in the orchard. About 25 students and faculty came from Kansas to do whatever needed to be done – weeding, mowing, mulching, covering grapes and more. It was a great day and a lot was accomplished! Thanks to all who gave their time and energy to further the orchard!
Above you can see masses of grapevines, loaded with grapes. These all need to be put on the wires and netting spread over them to keep the birds from eating them before we harvest them!
In addition to the Kansas group, Pastor Mike Gallup, of The Neighborhood Church (TNC) in Littleton, and his two wonderful children came to help and see how it was doing. Below you’ll find Mike’s letter telling about his experience that day!
