As you might see, here and on Facebook, Feeding Many is busy around the Denver area planting gardens and looking for a piece of land for another orchard. This all takes money since we contract with a school or community group to put in these gardens at our expense. The hope is that the organization will donate a lump sum of money to help pay for the block, soil, mulch and fuel to run the equipment. Many times they do donate a good amount, but overall we keep coming up short.
If you can help – we need consistent donors who will comitt to give on a regular basis. Please consider whether you can help w/a large or small donation on a monthly or quarterly basis. Personal checks or ‘automatic bill pay’ are the best since we collect 100% of the donation. You can use Paypal as well and it’s a very secure way to pay. However, any ‘merchant account’ takes a percentage of the money.
We will continue to plant gardens and help feed people in need. If you think you’d like to plant a garden and donate a portion of the harvest to a food bank, please get in touch with us! You benefit from the fresh produce, and people in need get some of the extra. You can also help by working in the orchard on Saturdays. In the fall, as we harvest, we need pickers, bakers, packagers, honey jarring, and deliverers.
Help yourself to fresh, natural food and give some of it away! A win-win for all.
