Feeding Many is currently looking for a plot of land, approximately 5 acres. We need to plant more orchards in the Denver area to supply the needs of people there who don’t always have access to fresh, healthy food.
If you have a space that could be used for an orchard, please contact Dr. Shirl Smith to discuss it. You’ll find her phone number here. Call and leave a message. We can keep it completely private, allowing only our selected workers on the land or if you choose, we can bring in volunteers for special work days to do the needed chores.
An orchard can be a nice addition to your horse property, bare land, or lot. It will enhance the property, hold the soil and produce a bountiful crop.
Feeding Many works with donors to supply all the needed trees, irrigation, soil and fencing to put in the orchard. It’s all at no cost to you (however, we ARE open to donations!). We do the upkeep, nurturing the trees, and keeping the watering in good shape. If we need to use water from your property, you’ll be reimbursed for the costs.
This is a great opportunity for you to get involved in a great outreach, helping families and people who are less fortunate have access to healthy, fresh produce. We supply the food pantries with fresh fruit, juices, jams, jellies, baked goods and more. In some orchards, we bring in bees for pollination, but also to produce honey, which can then be collected, packaged and donated as well.
Please contact us if you have, or know of land that could benefit from a well-kept, fully producing orchard! We are earnestly seeking land right now!
